The Ontario Wave Deck

Well Ontario sure built a huge ipe deck! Actually we’ve seen boardwalks and and such that had much more board feet of decking material before, but this one is certainly interesting. It’s “wave shaped” (see video below). It’s meant to be interesting and draw people to downtown. Here’s a quick video tour:

It make sense that they would use ipe deck boards. they have to be sturdy, for durability it always makes sense to use ipe deck boards as they will easily last over 40 years with any maintainence, and damn do those deck boards look great with the sun shining on them like that!. did you notice the ipe wood benches the deck builder created to go with this deck?
